We’re celebrating Vlad Yasmenko’s 10th Anniversary with ATC Manufacturing. Vlad is an NDT Level II Inspector responsible for ensuring the quality of ATC’s thermoplastic composite structural parts. Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) uses ultrasonic methods to evaluate thermoplastic composite materials and flight critical parts by measuring their characteristics without damaging or disassembling them. Vlad is a key member of the quality team who developed NDI testing at ATC and ensures quality for all of our manufactured parts.
ATC has led the development and qualification of NDI equipment and methods for thermoplastic composite structures for aerospace adoption. ATC is capable of manual and 6-axis automated NDI inspection of parts up to 30 ft (9 m) in length. NDI is a critical inspection method and certification of inspectors is managed by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).
Vlad also leads ATC’s test lab for photo-microscopy, thermal analysis, and mechanical testing. We are proud to have Vlad at ATC Manufacturing and grateful for his many years of quality contributions!
