ATC Process Development / Equipment Engineer Jake Bonwell is giving back to the local community. Jacob is Co-Founder of the Sweethearts’ Ball, a Non-Profit event which raises funds for children, ages 6-17, who are fighting cancer. The Sweethearts’ Ball is held at the Coeur d’Alene Resort each year and funds over one hundred children to attend a week-long summer camp called Camp Journey. Jake and his co-founders started the event in 2012 which has raised and donated $300,000 and enabled nearly 700 children to attend summer camp. During this week-long Camp Journey, kids get to be kids again, relieving them from hospitals or weekly chemotherapy treatment. The Camp moto is “Until there’s a cure, there’s Camp Journey!”.
