ATC expands its advanced manufacturing capabilities with the installation of a new CMS Ares 5

ATC has expanded its advanced manufacturing capabilities with the installation of a new CMS Ares 5-axis high-speed CNC machining center. Designed for precision milling, trimming, and drilling of advanced composites and plastics, the Ares will support higher-precision machining for tighter-tolerance parts and tooling up to 15.75 ft x 8 ft.

This added capability will help support larger and more complex composite structures while improving machining precision, production flexibility, and overall responsiveness for customer programs.

This investment reflects ATC Manufacturing’s continued commitment to advancing thermoplastic composite capabilities for the aerospace and defense industries.

With this new capability in place, ATC is better positioned to support demanding applications from development through production while continuing to invest in the equipment, technology, and processes needed for the next generation of advanced composite manufacturing.
