Building Together: NIMA’s Annual Summit held at ATC

Annual NIMA Meeting & Dinner

On November 28th, NIMA (the NW I-90 Manufacturing Alliance) held its annual meeting and networking event at ATC Manufacturing. We were honored to provide a space for this event, and the occasion proved a productive interaction between our collaborative organizations.

ATC team members began the event by leading NIMA representatives on a tour of our warehouse facilities. Tour guides provided a firsthand look at our manufacturing processes and fostered discussions about the future of composites and our parts formation techniques. Following the tours, attendees participated in a constructive  networking session.

The official kickoff of the annual meeting and dinner was introduced by ATC’s CEO, Jacob Bonwell, who extended a warm welcome to NIMA members. During the subsequent discussions, ATC took the opportunity to elucidate our role in shaping the future of aerospace and our active involvement in the tech hub.

Collaboration with the Tech Hub

NIMA and ATC Manufacturing are partners in the federally designated American Aerospace Materials Manufacturing Center tech hub, situated in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene region. This hub plays a pivotal role in advancing U.S. economic and national security objectives by promoting the onshoring and upscaling of manufacturing technologies, particularly those crucial to our domestic aircraft supply chain.

The global demand for advanced aerospace composites is escalating, with Europe and Asia leading in research, development, and manufacturing. The American Aerospace Materials Manufacturing Center is strategically positioned to address this challenge, critical in enabling the United States to regain its preeminent status as the world’s leading aerospace component supplier.

Concluding Thoughts

ATC is extremely proud to partner with other I-90 manufacturing companies who are vital to the local economy and our key inland northwest industries. We appreciate NIMA hosting their annual meeting at ATC and value their ongoing efforts to build a healthy local supply chain.
